A look into the journey of creating a musical
Here are the first set of lyrics I have created for Hilde the nurse to sing to Brady at the beginning of the show.
To set the scene, Brady is screaming in his sleep, and Hilde rushes in to calm him.
It’s okay,
It was a bad dream like the night before
It’s alright,
I think you’ll make it through the rest of the night
I know this place can get to you,
But it’s only for a while-.
Relax yourself, and get comfortable,
Come on, let’s have a smile!
I’ll post something soon with chords and rough vocals behind it. In my head the song should almost be lullaby-ish, calm and comforting. It will probably have a response from Brady, and then conclude with their two parts intertwining.
